Xbox 360 Unveiled On… MTV?
Props to Dan for the heads up. Apparently, Microsoft has decided to debut their new system on MTV instead of a major game convention, which as far as I know, is a first for a console manufacturer. Their choice to do this over MTV does make some sense though, as the next Xbox is going to be heavily marketed as a media center capable device.
On a quasi-related note… Does anyone know when/if MTV will show music videos again?

The only thing of substance in last night’s Xbox 360 party was the segment on the new Perfect Dark game. [...]

I think mtv is acting like a big whore for Microsoft. Bill musta paid MTV off real good. Now from now on, anything that MTV talks about video games it will be about the XBOX 360, and that sucks. Will MTV get a life and not be so goddamn persuaded by a couple of dollars.Fuck.
P.S. Music has been banned by MTV unless it either promote cell phones or violence. MTV needs all the room to promote P.Diddy’s stupid ass reality show and laguna beach.
