SMS w/out A Phone
Today I forgot my phone at home, so I sent my girlfriend a text message, through a website. She messaged my email address the rest of the day. I replied. It worked.

I setup an email address to forward to my phone, so I can give it to people and have them not know my cell number. Since its also alot quicker, than typing something like 5175551111@mobile.att.net, I set one up for my GF too.
