Don’t Take My Word For It

Kenny G sucks. Most people know this, but I’ve never seen my views so exactly articulated. Pat Metheny took the bile that simmers in our stomach for Kenny G, and interpreted it into some of the most hateful prose I’ve read. The Incredibles

The Incredibles. With all the to-film adaptations of comic books around, it seems Disney and Pixar wanted to get in on the act, or rather poke fun at it. Methinks I like it.

No XBox? Play Nintendo Games.

I’ve been sans an Xbox for the past couple months, as it’s been in my sister’s custody for a while. I just got it back, but I figured it’d be a good idea to highlight what I’ve been playing lately.

Warioware Inc. MicroGame$
A childish, ludicrously fun, whimsical collection of three second long mini-games. You have to figure out what game you’re playing, remember the controls, and beat the game all within a very short timespan. Warioware Inc. Mega Party Game$
It’s pretty much the same great game as the GBA version, but with a ton of multiplayer modes thrown in that are quite fun. We’ve had multiple groups of friends over since renting it who have loved it. To quote Penny Arcade, “ Indeed, with a funk index of 143, one could bump their ride simply by placing the disc on the hood.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
A must have for fans of the original game for the PlayStation. Much of the same gameplay is kept intact, and new races & jobs make the game interesting. While it seems far less challenging than I think it should be, it’s a great game nonetheless. As you would expect the story is compelling, and character/clan advancement is the rewarding focus of the game. The only real bitch I have with the game, and all Final Fantasy games, is that there are too many secrets that nobody would *ever* stumble upon without the help of the walkthrough. All I can surmise is that this is the gaming industry’s plot to sell more friggin’ Prima Game Guides. Hello? Have you all not heard of GameFAQs?
